A Dinner with Friends

I’m Maria Gloria, a Sicilian woman who decided to live in Rome more than 40 years ago, the owner of a cozy house in Appio Latino, not far from the Colosseum. Many years ago, I thought of creating an experience where guests from all over the world could feel at home with us, new friends met for a dinner, eating good Roman food paired with wine, with a lot of chat.

For that reason, I decided to share that experience with my two dear friends, Francesco and Donatella (a husband and wife), who are perfect companions for this kind of collaboration. They are owners of a cheese shop inside our local market, not far from my house. Francesco has been reviewed by major food guides and he is considered to be among the ten best in the city. Every ingredient of our menù comes from their shop selection.

In our dinner guests can find the taste of traditional Roman dishes with a wide choice of cheeses and cold cuts, according to the season and most of them carefully selected by Francesco’s research. Little organic cheese producers discovered all over the country, regional and national, provide an opportunity to learn more about a local cuisine. All accompanied by red and white wine pairings.
